Arte Fiera will open in Bologna from 24 to 26 January 2020 (press preview and opening: Thursday 23 January). Under the artistic direction of Simone Menegoi, who will lead the event for the second year of his term, the Fair continues its path of innovation in exhibition design and quality of proposals.

The main novelty of the 2020 edition is Pittura XXI, a new section in art fairs, not only in Italy.

For the first time a fair will focus the attention on the most debated language of contemporary art today, painting, with the aim of offering a panorama of its emerging and mid-career figures at national and international level.

The curatorship is entrusted to Davide Ferri, critic and independent curator, appreciated for his expertise in the field.

To underline the strong interest registered by this new section, there are, among others, significant participations of foreign galleries, such as Bernhard Knaus of Frankfurt and Arcade of London.
