“Chironi questions the relationship between architecture, movements and intersections of different cultures.”

Fondation Le Corbusier

Milano Drive is a multidisciplinary project that investigates the relationships of the great modernist architect Le Corbusier with the city of Milan, moving between spatial, visual and sound dimensions. In Milan Drive, spectators become passengers, boarding a Fiat 127 Special model, renamed Camaleonte for its ability to change the color of the bodywork. Around the city, a path of urban reflection and imagination opens up on the themes of travel, mobility, housing and social transformations. With Cristian Chironi in the driving seat, next to his stories you can listen to the sound compositions created and recorded in the various houses of Le Corbusier that the artist has temporarily inhabited. Wandering gives life to a mobile environment, made up of stories, trajectories and values, which materializes the architect’s slogan “a house is a machine for living”.

Artist and performer, Cristian Chironi uses different languages, often making them talk together. He has carried out site-specific works of a performative and installation nature, always looking for interaction with the context, be it human (public) or environmental (space). Among the most recent projects: My house is a Le Corbusier (Esprit Nouveau Bologna; Studio-Apartment Paris; Unité d’abitation Marseille; Casa Curutchet, La Plata; Pierre Jeanneret Museum, Chandigarh); Falsa Tormenta, Casa Wabi, Puerto Escondido; The state of things, 16th Quadriennale Palazzo delle Esposizioni, Rome. Among the exhibitions and performances: I’m back, Museo Nivola Orani; ECO, CND Center National de la Dance, Pantin Paris; Prospectum, Casa Italia PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics South Korea.
