The “Green Heart” award, in its first edition, was born with the aim of stimulating the reflection on the effects of the passage of man on the environment, to promote the social and ethical responsibility of the artists in relation to the importance of their work in the process of community involvement in the creation of works of art. The key concept around which the selected artistic interventions revolve is the cultural landscape that represents the combined work of nature and man. Stimulation of reflection is the relationship with the territory and with the landscapes in transformation on which there are many examples of diversified interventions of new interpretations, such as those of industrial archaeology already regenerated or still in the state of abandonment. In the selection process, land art interventions were therefore privileged, which included the use of contemporary languages for awareness-raising actions on issues of social and environmental sustainability.
