For this edition of the Festival delle Arti Studio Giudecca 860 presents the exhibition of the artist Iulia Ghita, with his latest work “AUGUST Life from herself (understood)“, a painting of five meters that will occupy an entire wall of the studio.
The work exasperates the admired gaze towards the surrounding nature, finding it one of the ways of knowledge alternative to the investigation and the claim of empathy, trying to draw a way of seeing life – “as it is” – also expressed by the Swiss philosopher Paul Haberlin, who also meant life.

Iulia Ghita was born in Oltenita, Romania, in 1986. She graduated from the University of Art in Bucharest in 2008 and from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome in 2011. Her work expresses a strong installation character, even when she uses drawing and painting, as well as photography and video. She is interested in the relationship/conflict/tension that is triggered between the limit of human measure and the attempt to give a finite form to incomprehensible things.
