On Friday 2 October 2026, from 6.00 PM, Ex Elettrofonica is pleased to announce The Unsilent Fragility, a new exhibition project by Alberto Podio, inspired by and dedicated to the sea as an environmental, sonic, ecological and existential presence. The project unfolds through an immersive experience that combines underwater photography with sound research by Carlo Bruno.

Through 360-degree projections of videos filmed in the Mediterranean Sea, accompanied by underwater sounds, the project conveys not only the timeless fascination of the deep, but also opens up a reflection on humanity’s place within an ecosystem constantly brutalised by our presence.

The sea is a hidden universe concealed beneath a surface that prevents us from seeing it. To dive into it means entering a world of extraordinary beauty, but also one of profound fragility. Pollution, exploitation and the disruption of ecosystems threaten this richness, too often taken for granted. The Unsilent Fragility brings this hidden reality to light, making it visible both to our eyes and to our consciousness.

Through the sounds accompanying the projections, listening becomes another means of “immersion”. It teaches us that the sea is not a silent world, but a living environment crossed by vibrations and calls. The Unsilent Fragility invites us to see, listen to and come to know the sea—to recognise its value before what we risk losing becomes invisible.
